Divas Nightclub in San Francisco has a long colorful history. The Motherlode was one of the first bars in San Francisco that the girls, transexuals, shemales, transvestites, crossdressers, liked to hang out. When the Motherlode lost its lease on the corner at Polk and Larkin, Mark moved it across the street to its present location at 1081 Post Street and renamed it Divas in recognition of all the girls who made it home. Today Divas Nightclub is the only nightclub in San Francisco that is dedicated to the transgender community.
